Powerboats or motorboats are boats, which are propelled by an internal combustion engine that drives a jet pump or a propeller. In fact any vessel propelled by a power engine is to be called a powerboat. Even a sailboat while it has an engine running technically comes under the category of a powerboat only. These power driven boats vary greatly in size and shape, starting from the 4-meter, open Boston Whaler type and ending up at the luxury mega-yachts that can even cross an ocean as such.
